Services and Pricing

My services are for those who don't feel quite right about using a resume writing service.  Maybe you're concerned about how a resume writer could possibly know enough about you from a questionnaire to write a resume that really represents all your experience.  This is why I believe that a collaborative approach to resume writing is the only way to construct a truly effective document.  Or, maybe you're concerned about becoming dependent on a resume writer, and would like to develop your own skills so that you can write your own resumes and cover letters.  As a full-time career counselor, I prefer to educate the individuals I work with, with the goal that you will become self-sufficient in creating your own effective documents, and will no longer need my help!

I will work with you to create your ideal, effective resume.  Through a series of personalized critiques, I will provide you with information, options, factors to consider, and recommendations in order to allow you to make your own educated choices about the final product.  I will also provide assistance with formatting, organization, and content.

Here is the pricing breakdown:

First Resume: $50

Additional Field-Targeted Resumes: $30                                                                                                                                           (Remember, a field-targeted resume is a resume geared towards a type of job you're applying for.  It is focused on demonstrating your ability to do specifc types of work.  If you are pursuing different types of positions, you may need a couple different field-targeted resumes. For example, if you were networking with professionals in accounting and management, hoping to land a job in one of those two fields, you would need two different field-targeted resumes.)                         

Additional Job-Targeted Resumes: $30                                                                                                                                         (Remember, a job-targeted resume is a resume geared toward a particular job opening with a particular company. It specifically addresses your ability to meet the exact needs that the company currently has. When applying for advertised job openings, creating job-targeted resumes is critical in maximizing your chances of being selected for an interview.)

First Cover Letter or Prospecting Letter:  $50

Additional Job-Targeted Cover Letters:  $30                                                                                                                                      (Cover letters are a little different in that there really is no such thing as a cover letter that's not job-targeted, or written for a specific job opening.  If you're not addressing a specific opening, you're really writing a prospecting letter- see below.)

Additional Prospecting Letters:  $30                                                                                                                                                            (A prospecting letter is a letter written to an employer you're interested in working for who does not currently have any job openings.  The purpose could be to find out about openings, or to express an interest in future opportunities.)
